A fundraiser for the family of Christin West is being held today (Friday ) from 11 am until 2 pm at Big O Tires on Victoria St.
According to Christin’s sister, Nicole West there will be a barbeque and snacks provided by Mcdonald’s, and it is being organized in coordination with Big O Tire.
“We’d appreciate anybody who can come down and donate whatever they can,” she explained.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will contribute to her burial and funeral costs.
Police say Christin West was found murdered in her apartment on the 2000 block of 20th avenue on the morning of August 7th.
Later that day, police arrested 36-year-old Dennis Daniel Gladue, and soon afterward the BC Prosecution Services approved one charge of Second Degree Murder against him.
On Monday afternoon, over 100 people marched in front of the PG RCMP Detachment in honour of Christin West.
