A new report on municipal voting habits for the Columbia Institute has suggested a unique way to help increase participation at the polls.
Author Norman Gludovatz says he borrowed the idea from Norway.
Gludovatz says it increased the turnout by 10 percent.
He says similar ideas are needed in BC because currently the average voter turnout municipally lies somewhere between 20 to 30 perecent.
