Saik’uz First Nation closes due to COVID-19 outbreak

The Saik’uz First Nation Chief and Council announced there was an outbreak of COVID-19 at the main reservation of Saik’uz yesterday (Saturday).

According to their Facebook page, the cases in the community are confirmed to be the Delta variant.

The First Nation is closed to visitors, and vehicles passing through are not allowed to stop except under emergency circumstances.

Residents are being asked to stay home and restrict their travel to essential travel only.
