Operation Red Nose cancels safe ride service for second straight year

Prince George residents will need to find another option for a safe ride home this holiday season.

Operation Red Nose announced its service will not be operating this year.

“We were hoping to be able to hold our safe ride service in all communities this year, but circumstances vary from region to region, and it’s simply not possible to do so everywhere,” said Anne-Marie Audet, Executive Director.

Last year, the service was also cancelled due to COVID-19.

In the absence of the safe ride service, Operation Red Nose reminds everyone to plan a safe ride by calling a friend or a cab, or by designating a sober driver.
