The missing child reported to Prince George police early today (Friday) has been located and is safe.
According to mounties, a member of the public recognized Tylorus “Ty” Twyman walking by himself near Massey Boulevard this morning at 11:30.
Officers were notified of the sighting and immediately attended the area and found the 12-year-old boy.
“The Prince George RCMP wish to thank the Prince George Search & Rescue Society and the many members of the public for their assistance with locating Ty,” said Cpl. Craig Douglass in a news release.
“Special thanks to the community member that recognized Ty and immediately called police,” added Douglass.

Police are requesting the public’s help to locate a missing child.
Just before three o’clock this morning (Friday), police received a report a 12-year-old boy who left his home on Lansdowne Road didn’t return.
Tylorus “Ty” Twyman left the residence on his own accord and has not returned.
Extensive police efforts have been made throughout the night and the Prince George Search & Rescue Society is being called in to assist.
According to PG SAR spokesperson Dave Merritt confirmed to MyPGNow.com, ten of their members are currently assisting police with more expected.
