After tearing her ACL in 2019, Alina Shakirova has come a long way in a short amount of time for the UNBC Timberwolves.

Shakirova finished second in scoring averaging 18.5 points per game, trailing only Ashlyn Day of the University of Victoria.
The Timberwolves women’s basketball team is in Calgary to take on the Brandon Bobcats in playoff action tomorrow (Friday) at 5 pm.
In men’s action, UNBC plays Brandon today in Lethbridge, which is set for a 4pm tip-off.
