The Westwood Pub Devils continue to be the class of the Prince George Senior Lacrosse League. The Devils, who did not lose last year, increased their perfect record to 6-0 by crushing the Quesnel Crossfire 19-2. Quesnel is in third place with a 3-3 record. Westwood Pub has outscored its opposition 102-22.
PG Senior Lacrosse resumes Monday night at 8 at Kin 1 when the 1-5 Northland/Nissan Assault go up against the 0-6 Cowboy Ranch Security Stylers.
–It’s the opening day of the Memorial Cup. The WHL champion Kelowna Rockets begin the round robin this evening when they face the host Quebec Remparts tonight. The other two teams in the tournament, Oshawa and Rimouski face each other Saturday.
–The Hornets, Minis and Streets take to the track Saturday for the opening night of racing at PGARA. The Super Trucks will be featured as well. Qualifying begins at 6 with racing to follow at 7.
