Gigantic garage sale taking place in PG this weekend

The Tabor, Blackburn, and Pineview Giant Community Garage Sale is making a return after a few years away.

It’s a joint venture where 24 homes have registered who will hold their own sale and then vendors and drop-ins will be at the Pineview Community Hall grounds to showcase their goods.

It takes place from 10 am to 2 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Market Manager, Karen Todd told MyPGNow.com that there has been a renewed interest in the event since health restrictions were lifted.

“The one we had three or four years ago was a huge success and then COVID hit and of course, you couldn’t do that kind of stuff. Now, we are starting it up again and it started with several homeowners wondering if we could do a joint community garage sale.”

Rent fees for space and tables will be invested back into the hall.

“Halls depend on regional grants and events that they put on to raise funds. When it comes to the cost of running the hall, we host sun and snow frolics, which have always been huge events for the community – not just Pineview but for Prince George and the area and it’s also the location of the fun timers baseball league.”

The Pineview Community Hall is located at 6470 Bendixon Road.
