New York Rangers 6 Carolina Hurricanes 2
The Rangers win the series 4-3 to advance to the Eastern Conference Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning starting Wednesday night in New York.
The Rangers are 5-0 in the playoffs when facing elimination.
The Hurricanes finished 7-1 at home and 0-6 on the road in the postseason.
The Western Conference Final between the Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche will begin tonight (5:00 PT) in Denver.
WHL:
The 7th and deciding game in the WHL Western Conference Final will be played tonight (starting at 7:00) in Kamloops with the Blazers at home against the Seattle Thunderbirds.

The Thunderbirds are 4-0 when facing elimination in this year’s playoffs.
The winner will play the Edmonton Oil Kings in the league’s championship series for the Ed Chynoweth Cup beginning Friday night in Edmonton.

The 17th seeded Fernandez lost her quarterfinal match today (Tuesday) to Martina Trevisan of Italy in three sets 6-2, 6-7, 6-3.
A featured men’s quarterfinal match will have #1 Novak Djokovic against #5 Rafael Nadal.

The (27-20) Toronto Blue Jays host the (23-23) Chicago White Sox tonight (4:07 PT) to begin a 6-game homestand.
