The number of people in BC’s hospitals with COVID-19 went down significantly since last week.
The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) is reporting 219 British Columbians were hospitalized with the virus last week (May 29th to June 4th), compared to 310 the week before.
In Northern Health, the number was nearly cut in half, as seven people were hospitalized throughout the region.
Last week, 43 people in BC died within 30 days of a positive lab result, including two in Northern Health.
