Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC (BIGSNBC) is offering opportunities to hit the lake this summer.
The organization is partnering with the Prince George Canoe and Kayak Club to offer a new program, Connect: Paddle Royale.
The weekly program is designed to connect kids with their peers while learning how to be safe on the water.
“We are excited to be partnering with the PG Canoe and Kayak Club team to offer this program to the community,” said BIGSNBC Executive Director Tim Bennett.
“With the help of a MyPG Community Grant and the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Foundation, we can offer this program free of charge, and ensure barriers are eliminated by providing everything the child needs to participate, including transportation.”
The six-week program will take place at West Lake Provincial Park, and space for the program are limited.
