Mental health, addictions, and homelessness priority #1 for Ramsay’s re-election bid

City Councillor Cori Ramsay will be seeking re-election on October 15th.

Ramsay made the announcement at a camp gain kick-off event at Two Rivers Art Gallery this morning.

“There’s a lot that I really want to focus on, but the complex issues that are impacting our community such as mental health, addictions, and homelessness are my number one priority,” she said.

“I know that many people in the community are concerned about this significant issue, and I really want to make sure there is an action for our residents.”

Ramsay will be seeking a second term on council and joins Councillors Susan Scott and Kyle Sampson as the incumbent candidates announced so far.

Other candidates for council that have come forward include Wesley Mitchell, Cameron Stolz, Karen Muir, Ron Polillo, John Zukowski, Tim Bennett and Don Fitzpatrick.

Councillors Murry Krause and Frank Everitt have each announced they will not be seeking re-election.

Councillors Brian Skakun and Garth Frizzell have not yet publicly announced their intentions.
