UNBC’s Zadravec collects Canada West MSOC player of the week

In soccer, the goalkeeper is often thought of as the last line of defense.

Enter Daniel Zadravec. The 4th-year player for the UNBC Timberwolves men’s soccer team collected Canada West men’s soccer player of the week thanks to a pair of rock-solid performances over the weekend.

The T-Wolves collected four out of a possible six points in Vancouver against the UBC Thunderbirds, a 2-1 win on Friday was followed up by a 0-0 draw on Saturday.

Zadravec made six saves on seven shots in the first half of the doubleheader and then turned away all 14 shots he faced against the T-Birds on Saturday to preserve the tie.

Trinity Western’s Makenna Dieterich was named the conference’s women’s soccer player of the week.
