A downtown grocery store is changing up how they do business.
Home Sweet Home Grocery has decided to sell its store-front in the city’s core and shift their focus to online sales.
Co-Founder Diandra Oliver says for the past few months, they noticed that being in the store wasn’t the best place to build capacity for food access.
“People had a hard time getting downtown,” says Oliver, “and we were kind of physically stuck there ourselves, so we didn’t have the ability to get out to the community, so at this time we’ve decided to sell the cafe.”
Oliver says they will continue to do Produce Boxes that has fruits and vegetables in them.
She says those will only be sold online.
