NHL:  (6 Monday games with five Canadian teams in action)

The Canucks remain the only winless team in the NHL.

They have opened their season by losing seven straight games (0-5-2).

J.T. Miller scored both goals for Vancouver.

The Canucks visit the Seattle Kraken Thursday night at 7:00 before hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins Friday night at 7:00.

The (5-5) Prince George Cougars play their next three games against the (8-0) Seattle Thunderbirds.

The two teams meet Friday and Saturday at CN Centre and Tuesday, November 1st in Kent, Washington.

The (7-3-0-1) Prince George Spruce Kings close out the October portion of their schedule when they host the (2-7-0-1) Wenatchee Wild Friday and Saturday night at 7:00.

BC Elite Hockey League: (BCEHL)

(U18)

The (5-2-1) U18 Cariboo Cougars are unbeaten in six and in third place out of nine teams.

They will host the (0-8) North Island Silvertips Saturday afternoon at 2:30 and Sunday morning at 8:15 at Kin 1.

(U18 female)

The (4-6-1) Northern Capitals host the (8-3) Vancouver Island Seals Friday night at 6:45 at Kin 1, Saturday night at 5:45 at Kin 2, and Sunday morning at 8:15 at Kin 2.

Canada West Soccer:

The UNBC Timberwolves have qualified for the Canada West playoffs in men’s soccer.

The Timberwolves finished with a record of 8-5-3, good for third place out of seven teams in the Pacific Division.

The UNBC men will visit the 5-2-7 Alberta Golden Bears in the quarterfinals Saturday afternoon.

Michael Henman of the Timberwolves finished with a league-leading 19 goals to tie the Canada West single-season record.

NFL: (Final game in Week 7)

Chicago Bears  33  New England Patriots  14

Both the Bears and the Patriots are 3-4.

Week 8 begins Thursday night (at 5:15 PT) with (4-3) Baltimore at (3-4) Tampa Bay.

CFL:

There is one weekend left in the CFL regular season but all playoff positions have been determined.

In the West, the (12-5) second-place B.C. Lions will host the (11-6) Calgary Stampeders in the division semi-final on Sunday, November 6th at 1:30 p.m.

The winner will visit the (14-3) Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West final.

In the East, the (8-9) second-place Montreal Alouettes will entertain the (7-10) Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the division semi on Sunday, November 6th at 10:00 a.m.

The winner will play at the (11-6) Toronto Argonauts in the East final.

Week 21 starts Friday night with B.C. at Winnipeg (5:30 PT).

The final three games of the regular season will follow on Saturday with Montreal at Toronto (11 AM PT), Hamilton at Ottawa (2 PM), and Saskatchewan at Calgary (5 PM).

The (2-2) Raptors host the (1-3) Philadelphia 76’ers Wednesday and Friday (4:30 PT).

The World Series will open in Houston with the Astros hosting the Philadelphia Phillies Friday and Saturday night (5:03 PT).

The Astros swept the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series while the Phillies advanced after knocking out the San Diego Padres four games to one in the National League Championship Series.
