WHL:

The Prince George Cougars conclude a five-game road trip against the (5-7-1) Rockets Wednesday night at 7:05 in Kelowna.

The (9-7) Cougars have won three straight and they lead the B.C. Division by two points over Kamloops, although the (7-4-1-1) Blazers have three games in hand.

BCHL: 

The (9-4-1-1) Prince George Spruce Kings visit the (4-9-2) Merritt Centennials Thursday night at 7:00 and Friday afternoon at 4:00.

The Spruce Kings are 3rd and the Centennials 8th in the 9-team Interior Division.

NHL:  (3 Monday games)

Washington  5  Edmonton  4

The Capitals scored four power-play goals.

The (3-6-3) Vancouver Canucks begin a 5-game, 8-day road trip tonight (Tuesday 4:00 PT) against the (4-7) Senators in Ottawa.

It is one of 11 Tuesday games in the NHL with all seven Canadian teams in action.

NFL: (Final game in Week 9)

Baltimore Ravens  27  New Orleans Saints  13

The Ravens are 6-3 and lead the AFC North by a game over the 5-4 Cincinnati Bengals.

The 3-5-1 Indianapolis Colts have sacked head coach Frank Reich and replaced him with Jeff Saturday, who played 13 seasons with the team.

The Colts have the lowest-scoring offense in the NFL.

Saturday was an ESPN analyst and had been a consultant for the Colts.

CFL:

The CFL divisional finals will be played on Sunday.

In the West, the BC Lions visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1:30 PT).

In the East, the Montreal Alouettes are on the road against the Argos in Toronto (10 a.m.).

The winners meet in the 109th Grey Cup game which will be played at Mosaic Stadium in Regina on November 20th.

Kickoff is just after 3 p.m. PST.

The (6-5) Raptors host the (2-9) Houston Rockets Wednesday (4:30 PT).

Canada West Basketball:

The UNBC Timberwolves visit the UBC Thunderbirds in Canada West basketball Saturday and Sunday afternoons starting with the women at 2:00 followed by the men at 4:00.

UNBC is 1-1 (Men) and 0-2 (women) while UBC is 0-0 in both divisions.

High School running

Josiah Wilkinson of PGSS was the top Prince George runner at the B.C. high school cross country running provincials on the weekend in Victoria.

Wilkinson was 20th out of 234 senior boys.

Cale McConkey of PGSS finished 34th.

BC Elite Hockey League: (BCEHL)

(U18) 

The (5-4-1) U18 Cougars are off until November 19th (5:45 p.m. Kin 2) and 20th (8:15 a.m. Kin 2) when they host the (9-3) Okanagan Rockets.

(U18 female) 

The (5-9-2) Northern Capitals play their next games in Kelowna against the (4-7-0-1) Thompson-Okanagan Lakers on Nov 19th at 1:15 p.m. and Nov 20th at 8:30 a.m.
