For the second time in less than a week, Prince George is under an Air Quality statement.
It’s once again due to stagnant weather conditions according to Environment Canada.
The warning, issued in collaboration with Northern Health, is creating higher pollution levels, and concentrations of fine particulate matter.
As a result, the City of Prince George’s Clean Air Bylaw prohibits all open burning.
Furthermore, exposure is particularly a concern for individuals with chronic conditions and respiratory infections especially for pregnant women, infants, and older adults.
