People who file human rights complaints, and those needing legal assistance, are receiving more support from the province.
The government is providing an additional $4.5 million to the BC Human Rights Tribunal and the Community Legal Assistance Society.
The provincial government says the Tribunal’s caseload has more than doubled since 2019.
The society says the number of calls for help doubled in 2020.
