BC’s largest tourism conference ready to kick off in Prince George

370 members of our province’s tourism and hotel industries are flocking to the northern capital this week.

The BC Tourism and Hospitality Conference is being hosted in Prince George for the very first time, it will kick off tomorrow (Wednesday) with a reception at the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club.

Tourism PG CEO Colin Carson told My PG Now that things are shaping up for a great conference, from fresh snow to great events.

“The welcome reception… will be really fun. That is taking place tomorrow night. We get a chance to really showcase what Prince George has to offer in some outdoor facilities.”

He also said people who have arrived early will be treated to a night out at tonight’s Cougars game against the Vancouver Giants, followed by bonfires, live music, and more festivities throughout the week.

The conference is not all fun and games, there will be presentations from speakers that Carson is excited to see come to Prince George.

“We have folks from Destination Canada and the Hotel Association of Canada,” he said, as well as their provincial counterparts.
