WHL:
It is the third last weekend of the WHL regular season
The (31-24-5) Prince George Cougars visit the (15-39-6-1) Victoria Royals tonight (Friday) and Saturday and battle the (24-28-5-2) Vancouver Giants Sunday at 4:00 in Langley.
The Cougars are 4th in the Western Conference, four points ahead of both the (30-27-2-1) Everett Silvertips and the (28-25-5-2) Tri-City Americans.
P.G., Everett, and Tri-City all have eight games left.
The Cougars are coming off Wednesday’s 6-2 victory over the Rockets in Kelowna.

The Western Hockey League announced today sanctions pertaining to the Moose Jaw Warriors following the completion of an independent investigation into violations of team rules and WHL Standard of Conduct policies.

BCHL:
The (24-19-4-1) Prince George Spruce Kings visit the (26-17-5) West Kelowna Warriors tonight and the (22-20-2-4) Vernon Vipers on Saturday.
The Spruce Kings have just six regular-season games left with two of them at home.
(PG will host Salmon Arm on March 18th and 19th and close with a doubleheader in Cranbrook on March 24th and 25th)
Prince George is 5th in the 9-team Interior Division while West Kelowna is 3rd and Vernon 7th.

BC Elite Hockey League: (BCEHL)
Both the Under-18 and U-17 Cariboo Cougars have playoff games against the Okanagan Rockets starting today in Kelowna.
They will also meet Saturday, with if necessary games in the best-of-three series on Sunday.
It is the U-17 semifinals and the U-18 quarterfinals.
(The U-18 games are scheduled for tonight at 7:00, Saturday night at 6:45, and if needed Sunday morning at 9:45)
(U-17 games will go this afternoon at 3:00, Saturday afternoon at 3:30, and if needed Sunday morning at 10:45)

The (9-19-4) Northern Capitals female U-18 hockey team starts its playoffs at home against the (5-25-2) Greater Vancouver Comets.
They face off tonight at 6:00, Saturday night at 5:45, and if needed Sunday morning at 8:45 with all games at Kin 2.
The Caps finished 4th and the Comets 5th (last) in the regular season.
The winner advances to play the first-place (30-2) Fraser Valley Rush in the semifinals.

The (27-32-5) Vancouver Canucks put a three-game win streak on the line when they host the Ottawa Senators Saturday night at 7:00.
Vancouver is 25th in the overall standings.
There are just two Friday games in the NHL: Anaheim at Calgary and Chicago at Florida.

High School Basketball:
College Heights is 1-1 in 3A Boys at the provincial high school basketball championships in Langley.
College Heights lost its quarterfinal game 69-59 to North Delta.
In 1A Boys, Cedars Christian fell to 1-1 after a 96-57 loss to #1 Unity Christian in the quarterfinals.
Northside Christian of Vanderhoof is 0-2.
In 2A Boys, Nechako Valley is 0-2.
In 4A Boys, PGSS is 0-2.
NBA:
The (32-35) Toronto Raptors are 1-3 on a 5-game road trip that will conclude tonight at 7:30 against the (32-34) Lakers in LA.

Curling:
B.C. (Gauthier) missed the playoffs with a 3-5 record at the Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario.
Manitoba (Dunstone) topped Pool A with an 8-0 record while Canada (Gushue) came first in Pool B at 7-1.
Other teams in the hunt play an elimination game today (10 AM PT) as Ontario (McEwen) faces Alberta (Koe) and Northern Ontario (Horgan) meets Wild Card #1 (Bottcher).
