The (28-32-5) Vancouver Canucks, coming off Saturday’s 5-2 victory over Ottawa, put a four-game win streak on the line when they host the Dallas Stars Tuesday night at 7:00 to conclude a 6-game homestand.
Vancouver is 25th in the overall standings.
There are just three Monday games in the NHL: Dallas at Seattle, Colorado at Montreal and Buffalo at Toronto.

Brad Gushue (Team Canada) and his rink from St. John’s, Nfld. are Tim Hortons Brier champions for the fifth time in the last seven years.
Gushue beat Matt Dunstone of Manitoba 7-5 in the Canadian men’s curling championship final in London, Ontario.
Manitoba beat Wild Card #1 (Bottcher) 7-5 in the semifinal.
Gushue’s five Brier Tankards is the most won by a skip.
The Gushue team will represent Canada at the World Men’s Curling Championship from April 1st to 9th in Ottawa.

High School Basketball:
Cedars Christian tied for 5th (with a 2-1 record) in 1A Boys at the provincial high school basketball championships in Langley. Cedars was named the most sportsmanlike team of the tournament and Ryan Crosina of Cedars was named to the second all-star team. Northside Christian of Vanderhoof ended up 15th (1-3 with the victory in its last game).
