Thieves being sought after dragon boat equipment stolen

The Northbreast Passage Dragon Boat Team is wanting to catch the culprit after some of their equipment is stolen.

Over the weekend, nine life jackets and two paddles were stolen from their shed at West Lake costing around $1000.

President Anita Eyles says this is means they will have to bring their own jackets.

“Because now you have all these life jackets stolen,” says Eyles, “so now your going to get new ones that are going to be a different colour,” says Eyles, “so now I think we are going to have to replace all the life jackets.”

Elyes says the team is made up of 30 breast cancer survivors.

She says they train and compete in a 20 person boat across the province.
