The spectacular weekend we saw in the Prince George skies is likely a sign of things to come.
That’s according to Environment Canada as an above-average May is anticipated for the northern capital.
Meteorologist, Bobby Sekohn told Vista Radio that will likely be accompanied by some extreme conditions.
“You know, we are getting into thunderstorm season as well – later this week I am seeing the possibility of some thunderstorms forming and to just keep an eye on our forecasts daily so that when the thunder roars go indoors.”
Sekohn added we might see the odd peak and valley as well in the temperatures.
“For example, we are seeing some warm weather continuing this week for most of the workweek – however, we are going to transition into a bit of a more near normal or maybe even slightly below normal temperatures next week.”
In April, the average temperature in PG was 4.4 degrees – the normal high is 5.
The northern capital saw nearly 25 mm of precipitation, well under the typical benchmark of 36.
