Update: PG area downgraded to High Streamflow Advisory

The BC River Forecast Centre has downgraded the Upper Fraser areas to the East of Prince George to a High Streamflow Advisory.

The Middle Fraser including the Cariboo Mountains and tributaries east of Quesnel and surrounding areas remain under a flood watch.

The BC River Forecast says a flood watch is in place for the Upper Fraser River and tributaries upstream of Prince George.

This includes the McGregor River, Willow River, Bowron River, and surrounding tributaries.

In addition, the Middle Fraser includes the Cariboo Mountains and areas east of Quesnel along with plateau areas west of Quesnel, Williams Lake and Lhoosk’uz Dene (including Baker Creek, Cottonwood River, San Jose River, and surrounding areas) are also included.

A flood watch has also been maintained for the Nazko River and West River Road.

Lastly, the River Forecast Centre is maintaining a High Streamflow Advisory for the Upper Fraser watershed including plateau areas around Prince George (including Chilako River, Chuchinka River, Salmon River, and surrounding areas).
