Workers at Prince George’s Ramada Hotel could go on strike as early as tomorrow (Thursday).
According to Unite Here Local 40, a 72-hour strike notice was issued on Monday.
The union stated approximately 35 workers, which includes housekeepers, banquet staff, front desk agents, and the hotel’s Starbucks food service workers, are making significantly less than the living wage of $21.19 that is required to support a family in PG.
In April, 87% of Ramada hotel workers voted in favor of strike action. The employees have been without a contract for almost a year.
