Mackenzie Hughes is the top of seven Canadians entering the second round of the U.S. Open in L.A.

Hughes fired a 3-under-67, which has him tied for 7th, five strokes behind the co-leaders
Xander Schauffele and Rickie Fowler, who set a U.S. Open record with an 8-under-62.

RBC Canadian Open champ Nick Taylor is 10 shots off the pace at 2-over-72.
