Two Rivers Gallery to open new exhibition during BMO Community Art Days

The Two Rivers Gallery is hosting another edition of BMO Community Art Days this summer.

On July 7th and 8th, the community is welcomed to Canada Games Plaza for free art activities, artist workshops, live music and performances, food trucks and local vendors.

The event will allow visitors to engage in several different forms of art and showcase talent from Northern BC.

“It’s a privilege to host BMO Community Art Days,” said Two Rivers Gallery Director of Learning and Engagement Sofia Comas.

“Beyond promoting art, we hope to promote a healthy, loving, and inclusive place to celebrate community.”

The event will also mark the opening of a new exhibit in the Galleria.

The new exhibition will be a collaborative installation between Two Rivers Gallery and the Makerie called “Greening the Gallery.”

The two organizations spent months in classrooms throughout the district engaging in art activity in which students imagined their own plant species.

The gallery will be filled with their paper creations.
