A Prince George-based non-profit has launched a GoFundMe to bring cleaner water to Central America.
The Aketzali Izamal Access to Clean Water Society launched the campaign on August 1st, with the goal of raising $10,000.
The money will be used for 150 water filtration kits that will provide clean water to more than 1,000 people in isolated areas along the border of Guatemala and Belize.
The Society has already supplied water filtration kits, medical and dental supplies, and assisted with delivery of childhood vaccinations to 11 of 240 communities in need.
