Regional District of Fraser-Fort George expands Evacuation Order for Great Beaver Lake wildfire

The Great Beaver Lake wildfire north of Prince George continues to grow and has led to more measures being taken by the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George.

They have expanded an evacation order and have added another evacuation alert.

The blaze, which is located half way between Bear Lake and Fort Saint James (within Electoral Area G Crooked River-Parsnip), is 14,702 hectares in size.

Residents of the evacuation order area may qualify for Evacuation Support Service.

The district is warning residents in the evacuation alert area that conditions could unexpectedly change and to be ready to immediately evacuate the area.
