Cougars goalie Ty Young was the first star as he blocked 37 shots, including all 18 he faced in the third period before 2,080 fans at CN Centre.
Koehn Ziemmer tallied a goal and an assist for the (7-2) Cougars, who went 4-1 on a 5-game homestand.

The (11-5) B.C. Lions visit the (8-8) Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday (4 PM PT) to begin Week 19 of the CFL season.
The Lions will close their regular season with a home game against the Calgary Stampeders on Friday, Oct 20th (7 PM).
B.C. is two points behind the (12-4) Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The Blue Bombers need one more win or a Lions loss to clinch first in the West Division.
Winnipeg is off until they host Edmonton on October 21st and conclude with a game in
Calgary on October 27th.

BC Football Conference: (BCFC)
The (2-7) Prince George Kodiaks visit the (1-8) Kamloops Broncos on Saturday night at 6:00 to wrap up their second season in the BC Football Conference.
Prince George is 5th in the 7-team league, two points ahead of Kamloops.

The UNBC Timberwolves are home this weekend in Canada West soccer.
The (2-7-2) UNBC men host the (2-10) Fraser Valley Cascades Friday night at 7:45 and Sunday afternoon at 2:15 at Masich Place Stadium.
(The UNBC men wrap up their regular season with a doubleheader in Kelowna against (3-7) UBC Okanagan on the 21st and 22nd (both noon starts).
