Cougars acquire Danis from Hitmen

The Prince George Cougars have acquired 2005-born Forward Matteo Danis from the Calgary Hitmen, in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick.

Danis tallied 27 points (12G, 15A) in 65 games with Calgary in 2022-23, and has scored twice in eight games so far this season.

“Matteo is a player that we have had interest in for a while,” said Cougars Head Coach and GM Mark Lamb.

“He is a good team player with a scoring touch.”

Danis and the Cougars will return to the CN Centre for Community Heroes Weekend, facing off against the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday, and the Medicine Hat Tigers on Sunday.
