A winter chill will be rolling into Prince George by the start of the next work week.
According to Environment Canada, daytime highs will either dip into the minuses or low single digits.
Meteorologist, Alyssa Charbonneau told MyPGNow.com it will get quite cool during the evening and overnight hours.
“Initially, as that cold air really settles in some flurries are possible for Monday but then after that it is expected to dry out and remain quite cold. Especially overnight we do see those temperatures dropping to the negative double-digits as those long clear nights help things cool down.”
“At this point, it’s not looking too heavy but we are keeping an eye on it.”
Cold, dry air will be moving into the Prince George region causing temperatures to fall ten degrees below seasonal in some cases.
However, Mother Nature should be able to balance things out by the end of the week.
“We are looking at a gradual easing of the cold conditions as we head towards the ladder part of next week. Of course, we will have to wait and see how it all plays out but overall it is going to be relatively dry. So, while it will be cold there will also be some sun.”
