Trio of post-secondary students with ties to PG recipients of Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship

Three students who are either from PG or attending post-secondary in the northern capital are receiving $5000 via the Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship Program.

The scholarships are awarded annually by the BC Scholarship Society to undergraduate students who have completed one year of public post-secondary in BC and are transferring to another degree-granting institution to finish their studies.

Claire Huang of Vancouver and Fernie’s Skye Irwin transferred to UNBC after spending time at Langara and Selkirk College respectively.

In addition, PG’s Joshua Reurink is the third recipient – he is now studying at Thompson Rivers University after spending time at CNC.

168 students from across the province received the scholarship.
