2023 Holiday shopping season in PG to begin with Plaid Friday

Bring out the plaid and support local businesses.

The 8th Annual Plaid Friday(November 24th) event takes place in Downtown Prince George as the community bands together to shop locally.

While the event will run all day, most of the action will occur in the late afternoon and evening hours.

Between 4pm and 6pm, the PLAID PATROL will be out and about looking for people wearing plaid. Anyone who is spotted wearing the unique design can receive some swag, including free hot chocolate from Zoe’s Java House, or PLAID BUCKS to spend at your favourite downtown business.

In addition, the Q3 Community Market will be holding their first ever indoor night market from 4-8pm along 3rd Avenue. Furthermore, the Arts Fair at the Omineca Arts Centre on Victoria Street will be taking place at the exact same time.

According to Downtown PG, there are approximately 100 retailers ranging from shops and special services to restaurants and cafes who call the downtown core home.
