Transportation Safety Board investigating Terrace helicopter crash

A formal investigation into yesterday’s (Monday) helicopter crash in Terrace has been launched.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada made the announcement today, saying they are “deploying a team of investigators on the site of a helicopter accident that occurred Monday, 22 January 2024 near Terrace, British Columbia. The TSB is gathering information and assessing the occurrence.”

According to police, three helicopters were operating a heliskiing trip in the mountains when communication was lost with one of the aircraft. 

Seven people were on board the helicopter that went down. Three passed away, the others were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
