Tourism PG’s new Container Vendor Market project has just received an influx of cash from the Prince George Community Foundation and Interior Savings.
This is through the 2023 Spruce Credit Union Legacy Fund Grant, which is worth $20,000.
“We are so grateful for the support from the Interior Savings and the Prince George Community Foundation for choosing us to be the recipient of the Spruce Credit Union Legacy Grant,” Colin Carson the CEO of Tourism Prince George, said in a release.
“This generous funding will go toward a brand-new market project, which will see multiple, all-season booths for local and Indigenous business owners. While we still have more fundraising to do to meet our final goal this grant is extremely helpful.”
“It’s exciting to be part of an innovative project designed to revitalize downtown Prince George and drive economic resiliency,” said Brian Harris the CEO of Beem (Interior Savings) Credit Union. “The development of a Container Vendor Market by Tourism Prince George will provide new business opportunities for local artisans, food vendors and other entrepreneurs, creating the kind of lasting community impact the Spruce Legacy Fund was set up to support.”
