Lheidli T’enneh accept Respectful Acknowledgement from PG Symphony Orchestra

The Lheidli T’enneh First Nation has accepted a Respectful Acknowledgment from the Prince George Symphony Orchestra.

The pledge was given by PGSO Executive Director Ken Hall during the intermission of a performance of Dvorak’s ‘New World’ Symphony.

“The PGSO’s pledge to respectfully acknowledge our unceded ancestral lands celebrates another positive step forward on the road to reconciliation,” said Lheidli T’enneh Chief Dolleen Logan.

“We thank the PGSO Board and Ken Hall for your contributions to making Prince George the special place it is for all of us to call home.”

“The Lheidli T’enneh First Nation has always welcomed the Prince George Symphony Orchestra in its unceded territory and home community of Prince George,” said PGSO Executive Director Ken Hall.

“Our Board felt that providing a pledge of Respectful Acknowledgement to the Lheidli T’enneh was the right next step in growing our relationship.”

The LTFN has previously accepted Respectful Acknowledgement pledges from many community organizations, including the City of Prince George, the College of New Caledonia, and UNBC.
