Mountain biking showcased in newest Tourism PG campaign

Tourism PG has launched a new campaign and video centered around our city’s expansive mountain biking options ahead of the 2024 season.

“Great visual storytelling makes it easy to picture the incredibly fun and remarkable amenities we have in Prince George,” said Tourism PG CEO Colin Carson. “We’re pretty excited for this new video to tell the story of a few friends discovering Prince George for the first
time, on and off the trails.”

The video features shots of the cutbanks, the Tabor Mountain trails and Pidherny, as well as local businesses like Deadfall Brewing and the Open Door Cafe.

“Mountain biking in Prince George is growing right now,” Carson told My PG Now. “There is a huge opportunity from the tourism angle to promote what we’ve got going on right now.”

He added northern BC as a whole is a great spot for mountain biking, and encouraged riders to check out neighbouring communities as well.

“Any time someone visits northern BC, typically it is going to benefit us in Prince George.”

Carson hopes to gather information on exactly how many people travel to Prince George and northern BC with mountain biking, and outdoor activities as a whole, in mind.

A new page dedicated to biking is now live on Tourism PG’s website, you can find that here.
