Fire crews douse Friday duplex blaze on Quince Street

Prince George fire fighters responded to a structure fire on the 2200 block of Quince Street on Friday.

According to Prince George Fire Rescue, the blaze was reported by multiple witnesses in the area.

Three halls were dispatched to the duplex at 4:16 pm.

One half of the duplex was involved with heavy smoke and flames coming from the windows.

Arriving crews protected neighboring homes from the exposure from the flames, and then attacked the involved structure.

Crews say the fire was contained to the involved half of the duplex.

The uninvolved unit received minor water damage.

All occupants were out of the structure, and no injuries were reported.

The damage is estimated at $80,000, and the cause is under investigation.
