Controlled brush pile burns planned in McLeod Lake area

The BC Wildfire Service is planning multiple controlled burns in the McLeod Lake area for tomorrow (Wednesday).

They say brush piles “near the McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forest, at Highway 39 and Gagnon Creek” are all scheduled to be burned if the weather conditions are right.

They warn smoke may be visible in the area, but assure the public that staff will be on site.
