Final economic impact of the Canada Winter Games released

The final economic impact of the Canada Winter Games was recently released by organizers.

In total, economic activity in BC was $123 million dollars, and MLA Shirley Bond spoke about the numbers for PG alone:

“…and when you do the analysis we see that in fact there was some very direct economic impact in Prince George and the region of $83 million dollars.”

These numbers are substantially higher than the original $70-90 million dollar estimate.

The 2015 Winter Games also saw over 10,000 visitors, and left behind nearly $20 million dollars in capital investments.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
