London Drugs PG location back up and running

Prince George’s Parkwood Place is among the 40 London Drugs stores that have re-opened.

This comes after being shut down for a week due to a cyber security incident.

In an updated statement this morning (Monday), the company stated it plans to have all 79 locations across Western Canada open by end of day on Tuesday.

London Drugs issued the following statement to MyPGNow.com.

As London Drugs has gradually re-opened core services in 40 stores across Western Canada, we want to alert pharmacy customers that due to connectivity issues the pharmacy will not be able to fill new prescriptions at this time. As we have communicated over the last few days, our store systems are necessarily complex, as is the need to connect with multiple third-party provider systems, all with different requirements to ensure a smooth and safe reconnection. We hope to have this rectified as soon as possible. Our pharmacy staff are available at all stores to assist with questions or urgent needs. Please call your local pharmacy or visit the store in person during regular pharmacy hours with your previous prescription bottles or devices and let our staff help you. London Drugs’ Customer Care is available at 1-888-991-2299.

An up-to-date listing of store openings is available at https://www.londondrugs.com/store-reopening-details.html.

We continue to methodically work to ensure systems at each store are working and ready to serve the full range of services and products that we know our customers expect, and we thank everyone for their patience. We are only turning on systems after we and our external third-party cybersecurity experts have taken all recommended steps to ensure we have full confidence that the systems being used are safe and secure. As our investigation continues, we have not seen any evidence that any customer databases were compromised, including our pharmacy patients and LDExtras members databases. In the event our ongoing investigation later determines that personal information was impacted, we will notify affected individuals in accordance with privacy laws.
