Band shell on wheels ready for Prince George events

A trailer that folds out into a full stage has arrived in time for summer in Prince George.

Russell Audio Visual’s new SL100 mobile stage is here, fresh from Stageline in Quebec.

At a glance on the road, it looks like a normal truck trailer. However, within an hour, it can fold out into a full 40’ x 28’ (12 m x 8 m) stage.

The unit is the only one of its kind north of Kelowna and West of Edmonton.

“Event organizers, businesses, non-profit organizations, and government will all be happy that they no longer have to budget for this kind of stage to be driven from Edmonton or Kelowna. Prince George has its own now. From athletic events to conferences, this stage could be useful for most outdoor events,” Jon Russell, Russell Audio Visual Manager and Technician, said in a news release.

Stageline recommends the stage be used for events pulling outdoor crowds of 5,000 or fewer.
