Section of 7th avenue to be closed for one month

Part of 7th Avenue will be closed for a month due to water main work starting next week.

The work zone will stretch down 7th Avenue between Alward Street and McBride Crescent, and a small section down Laurier Crescent.

According to the city, the work will fix low water pressure in the area, support development, and increase reliability.

The project is budgeted at $750,000, construction starts May 13th.

Day one of the Special Olympics BC Summer Games is in the books.  Nearly 900 athletes braved a rainy day in Prince George as they took part in ten sports today (Friday), with the action continuing tomorrow.
