Williams Lake area murder suspect to be sentenced for manslaughter in the fall

A date for sentencing has been set for a 26-year old man found guilty of manslaughter in Williams Lake.

Waylon Darian Harry is due back in Supreme Court on November 12th.

Harry was originally charged with second degree murder but was found guilty of the lesser charge by Madam Justice Church in a trial back in January.

Williams Lake RCMP were called out to the community of Esk’etemc, about 50 kilometres southwest of the city, back in September of 2021 for a report of a suspicious death.

Upon arrival, police discovered the body of 19-year old Kendra Samson.

A suspect was arrested at the scene.
