City Council approves Annual Reports

Prince George City Council has approved Annual Reports for a few city-adjacent organizations for 2023.

At Monday’s meeting City Council received presentations from Downtown Prince George, Tourism Prince George, the Prince George Public Library, the Northern Sport Centre, and the City itself.

“The Community Charter requires municipalities to prepare an annual report that deals with not just the audited financial statements, but also with municipal services and operations for the previous year, and the municipality’s progress on it’s corporate objectives,” said City Manager Walter Babicz.

“Additional information rounding out the annual report includes information regarding the permissive tax exemptions that are granted by Council.”

Babicz also noted the report must be prepared by June 30th, and be made available to the public for inspection.

A draft of the annual report can be found here.
