The Prince George Pride Society is celebrating Pride Week next week, starting with a flag raising at City Hall tomorrow (Friday).
Numerous pride-themed events will lead up to the annual Saturday (July 13) Pride Parade.
CJ Klitch, the President of the Prince George Pride Society, said they will host a movie night on Tuesday, a roller skating night on Wednesday, and a trivia night on Thursday.

Saturday’s parade starts at 10:00 from Canada Games Plaza and will loop from Quebec Street to 4th Avenue, then down George Street and back to City Hall.
Klitch said individuals who want to walk in the parade are welcome to do so, but groups and vehicles are being asked to register beforehand by emailing [email protected].
Normally the parade and festivities take place in June, Pride month.
That would have been the case this year too, however Klitch said a complete turnover in the society’s board delayed the planning.
“It was discovered in May that Pride would not be happening, so a bunch of us stepped up, joined the board, and in eight weeks we planned pride,” she said.
This year will be Prince George’s 27th Pride Parade.
