BC Cancer Foundation canvassers will be going door to door in Prince George, introducing residents to the foundation’s monthly donor program.
“Monthly giving of any amount is an incredibly valuable way to support the BC Cancer Foundation,” said the BC Cancer Foundation’s Associate Director in the North Mischa Mueller.
“Monthly donations provide stable and predictable funding to support the ongoing life-saving cancer research projects across the province.”
Mueller noted, for security and safety purposes, the canvassers will be wearing their signature teal vests and will have proper identification.
“They’ll invite residents to sign up for the monthly giving program through their credit cards, they won’t be accepting any cash, and there is a verification system at the door as well,” Mueller explained.
“Residents can feel very safe that this is legitimate, and these are representatives of the BC Cancer Foundation.”
Mueller added people are also invited to donate either online or through the phone.
