Regional District of Fraser-Fort George issues evacuation alert near Beaver River fire

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has issued an evacuation alert in the Beaver River area, east of McBride.

According to the BC Wildfire Service, the wildfire in question (G31220) was discovered on Friday around 13 kilometres southeast of McBride.

The fire is approximately 140 hectares and is suspected to be caused by lightning.
