Annual AIDS Walk Wednesday

The Positive Living North Aids Walk for Life is set for Wednesday.

PLN executive Director Vanessa West says an AIDS walk has been an annual event in PG since the early 90’s. All the money raised at the event stays in Prince George.

“It helps support our weekly food hamper, boost nutritional supplement and healthy activities programs. So everything that is raised in Prince George goes directly to people living with HIV and AIDS.”

Registration begins at 11:30 at the CIvic Centre, the 1.5 kilometre loop through downtown PG will be open from 12-2:30pm.

“It’s a fundraising walk, but at the same time it’s about raising awareness and support for people living with HIV. So if you want to come out and just support our cause; come down, register, part of it is you get a t shirt along with some other promotional material.” she added

Donations can also be made online at www.positivelivingnorth.org
